Throughout my adult life, I have developed a healthy love of food and a passion for creating dishes to share with those I love. I’ve fallen in love with herbs and spices and learned to admire the sound of a sizzling skillet. I believe food brings people together and food shows you care. Food reflects love and food reflects expression. Creating a great dish consisting of many flavors dancing together in harmony provides an experience that I wish to create over and over again, not only for myself and my loved ones– but for you and yours.
My goal in sharing my passion of cooking with the world is to not only continuously evolve into an even better cook myself, but to help those who have the desire to learn. If I can help a busy, working woman find the time to prepare herself a healthy, home-cooked meal at the end of a long day, I will be happy. If I can help a stay at home mom learn how to make her grocery bill smaller by cooking smarter, I will be happy. This blog is for anyone who wants to learn, improve their skills or just obtain a collection of delicious, new recipes. My mission is to always share nothing but the best recipes, while always making it a goal to make my ingredients go a long way. This being said, I will do my best to include a “Leftover Ingredient Idea” segment at the end of each recipe, when appropriate. I know everyone hates throwing out leftover ingredients that have spoiled in the fridge, but I know how difficult it can be to think of a use for them. However, I have found that with a little bit of creativity paired with the confidence to try new things, it is possible to become a better cook while limiting your waste.
Food is art and just as not everyone can paint like Picasso or play a guitar like Hendrix, no one is born a good cook. However, I believe a desire to learn mixed with a passion for good food can turn anyone into a great cook. Join me on my journey of always learning, always expressing and always creating delicious dishes to share.
